Our New Year's Day Dip is back for 2020 and there's no better way to welcome in the New Decade! This year, our dip will be in aid of both MacMillan Caring Locally and our New Club Hut Project.
As is tradition everyone is welcome to participate and we’ll be taking the plunge at 12noon sharp so we'll be registering from 11:00-11:30am.
It's totally up to you how long you're in the sea for! Some of us are in and out like a flash! Whereas in previous years we've even had people bodyboarding!
Wetsuits are highly recommended but by no means compulsory!! (Onesies are also more than acceptable!)
The dip will take place on Friars Cliff beach in front of the Beach Hut Cafe and registration will be at our club hut which can be accessed via the steps next to the cafe. Please ensure that you register with us there before participating in the dip.
We'll have mince pies, bacon rolls and hot drinks available at our club hut for a donation 🥓☕
Our participant liability declaration form is absolutely compulsory and will be available for signing on the day but can also be read in advance here. A parental or legal guardian signature is required for all participants under the age of 18 on the 1st of January 2020 regardless of their SLSGB membership status.
It's a £5 donation to take part and please ensure that you register with us before taking part. They'll be donation pots on the day both on the promenade and at the Club Hut.
