Our Nippers section is for children between the ages of 8 and 12. Our focus for all our Nippers is on beach and surf safety, basic lifesaving skills and of course, surf lifesaving sport. Our emphasis has always been on running fun and engaging yet educational sessions in an always friendly environment.

Christchurch Life Saving Club has been an all-inclusive organisation since our founding in 1970. We’ve always held the belief that it’s the taking part that counts and all the competitions we enter our Nippers in award points for participation.

Although our Nippers category is for all members aged 8 to 12, during training sessions and at competitions our Nippers are separated into smaller age categories so the children will always train and compete with other children of a similar age and ability.​
